The Fantasia Academy of Music is looking for a violin / piano instructor, and the ability to teach other instruments such as singing is an asset. However, the ability to teach additional instruments is not required. The instructor should be patient and able to engage with children in a fun, encouraging manner.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year teaching experience
  • RCM ARCT diploma, university music education, or equivalent ability to teach violin and piano from beginner to immediate level
  • Patient and kind with students
  • Responsible and punctual

Assets:

  • Can teach multiple instruments (ideal but not required)
  • Bilingual/multi-lingual - can teach in a language other than English
  • Experience teaching adults as well as children

As lessons are taught primarily at students' locations, the teacher should have access to a car or another form of reliable transportation.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $35.00-$45.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Richmond, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
