Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Small Engine Technician to join our service team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical repair, electrical systems, and small engine maintenance. This role involves diagnosing, repairing,new equipment set up and maintaining a variety of small engines and equipment, ensuring optimal performance for our customers. The technician will also assist with customer service and sales, providing expert advice on repairs and parts. A background in small engine repair, and schematics reading is highly desirable to succeed in this position.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair small engines, including lawn mowers, generators,Two stroke engine and other power equipment
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and schematics to troubleshoot issues effectively
- Perform electrical repairs as needed to restore equipment functionality
- Conduct heavy lifting of engine parts and equipment during repairs and maintenance
- Maintain detailed service records and ensure all work meets safety standards
- Assist customers by providing technical advice and recommending appropriate repairs or parts
- Follow safety protocols during all repair procedures to prevent accidents or injuries
Requirements
- Proven mechanic experience with small engine repair preferred
- Mechanical knowledge of engine systems, electrical components, and schematics reading skills
- Experience with electrical work, and use of hand tools and power tools required
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physical tasks involving heavy lifting
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Prior experience working with Schematics or technical manuals beneficial

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00-$27.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 44 per week
