Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Small Engine Technician to join our service team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical repair, electrical systems, and small engine maintenance. This role involves diagnosing, repairing,new equipment set up and maintaining a variety of small engines and equipment, ensuring optimal performance for our customers. The technician will also assist with customer service and sales, providing expert advice on repairs and parts. A background in small engine repair, and schematics reading is highly desirable to succeed in this position.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair small engines, including lawn mowers, generators,Two stroke engine and other power equipment
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and schematics to troubleshoot issues effectively
  • Perform electrical repairs as needed to restore equipment functionality
  • Conduct heavy lifting of engine parts and equipment during repairs and maintenance
  • Maintain detailed service records and ensure all work meets safety standards
  • Assist customers by providing technical advice and recommending appropriate repairs or parts
  • Follow safety protocols during all repair procedures to prevent accidents or injuries

Requirements

  • Proven mechanic experience with small engine repair preferred
  • Mechanical knowledge of engine systems, electrical components, and schematics reading skills
  • Experience with electrical work, and use of hand tools and power tools required
  • Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physical tasks involving heavy lifting
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly
  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Prior experience working with Schematics or technical manuals beneficial

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00-$27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 44 per week
