About the Role

where you'll help develop reliable, secure, and scalable software that supports better diagnostics and patient care worldwide.

You'll focus on
backend development
using
Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and AWS
to build systems that power next-generation genomic sequencing and life sciences solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in requirement discussions, architecture, and design reviews.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices.
  • Develop and test backend APIs and microservices.
  • Build and execute unit, integration, and component tests.
  • Collaborate with QA and cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality releases.
  • Research and evaluate new technologies and development practices.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior developers.
  • Work through all phases of the
    Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
    .

Required Qualifications

  • 5–10 years
    of hands-on software development experience.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Strong programming skills in
    Java
    .
  • Experience with
    Spring / Spring Boot
    and
    REST API
    development.
  • Solid understanding of
    Object-Oriented Design (OOD)
    and
    distributed systems
    .
  • Experience with
    relational databases
    (Postgres, MySQL).
  • Proven background in
    microservices architecture
    .

Nice to Have

  • Experience with
    AWS Cloud
    and
    Serverless computing
    .
  • Familiarity with
    ETL pipelines
    or
    Scala
    .
  • Understanding of
    Next Generation Sequencing (NGS)
    or healthcare software.

Soft Skills

  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Excellent documentation and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable working in an
    Agile/Lean
    environment.
