Job Description

The Accounts Payable Administrator manages critical financial processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of payment activities. This role requires attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and commitment to maintaining financial record integrity.

  • Process vendor invoices, establish payment schedules, and adhere to contractual terms
  • Reconcile vendor statements, prepare financial reports, and contribute to month-end closing
  • Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies and vendor inquiries
  • Track expenses, process expense reports, and manage credit card transactions
  • Maintain vendor files and documentation, ensuring compliance with internal and external requirements
  • Collaborate with departments to secure invoice approvals and resolve financial issues
Qualifications
  • Post-Secondary graduate degree, diploma or certificate in Accounting
  • 3 to 5 years of full cycle accounts payable experience in a high-volume environment
  • Good working knowledge of accounting systems and principles
  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
  • Excellent time management, planning, prioritization and organizational skills
  • Ability to work within established deadlines and with a strong sense of urgency
  • Ability to multi-task and work effectively in a high growth and rapidly changing environment
  • Strong critical thinking and reasoning skills
  • Advanced knowledge in Microsoft applications, including strong Excel skills and the ability to work with large data sets
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Experience with MS Dynamics or other ERP system is an asset
