Overview

We are seeking a diligent and dependable Janitor/Cleaner to maintain the cleanliness and safety of our facility. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring a hygienic environment that supports the well-being of our young people and staff.

You must be able to provide a clear criminal record check with vulnerable sector and child intervention check, as well as a class 5 drivers license.

Schedule

As a janitor your position is a .75 permanent full-time position, which is 6 hours daily Monday-Friday with a typical schedule of 7am-1pm.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting all designated areas within the facility, inlcuding our school.
• Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, kitchens, hallways, and common areas to meet health and safety standards.
• Manage waste disposal efficiently by emptying trash receptacles and ensuring proper recycling procedures are followed.
• Follow established safety protocols and use appropriate personal protective equipment during all cleaning activities.

Experience

• Prior janitorial or custodial experience in a commercial or residential setting is preferred.
• Ability to work independently with attention to detail while adhering to safety guidelines.

Pay: $35,000.00-$37,000.00 per year
