Must Haves

  • 2 years of Estimating experience for projects related to construction
  • Have worked on various software's and bidding systems

The Job

This role involves reviewing drawings, coordinating pricing, and ensuring bids are prepared accurately and on time.

  • Monitor tendering sites (such as BC Bid) for new opportunities
  • Assess project documents and determine bid viability
  • Collaborate with Account Managers to develop pricing strategies
  • Prepare material take-offs from drawings using estimating software
  • Obtain and compare vendor quotes to ensure competitive pricing
  • Support the team in the preparation and submission of formal bids

What you bring to the job

You are a detail-oriented and driven individual who is ready to support the team in identifying, evaluating, and pursuing project opportunities.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of estimating or quotation experience in construction, HVAC, plumbing, or building supply industries
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specification documents
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and estimating/take-off software
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills
