The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods over long distances, ensuring safe and timely delivery. You will be driving a 2017 Freightliner Cascadia 125 with an automatic transmission. This position offers competitive pay and requires a commitment to safety and punctuality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a 2017 Freightliner Cascadia 125 with an automatic transmission.
• Secure and transport Dry Van loads efficiently and in compliance with all safety regulations.
• Plan long-haul routes and meet delivery schedules.
• Communicate with Dispatch to maintain accurate and up-to-date delivery time.
• Advise Dispatch immediately when conditions change, and an assigned load cannot be picked up or delivered on schedule.
• Use route navigation apps and knowledge of the area to deliver packages to customers on time.
• Professionally interact with customers.
• Complete all paperwork as required.
• Complete thorough pre-and post-trip inspections at the start and end of each shift and report any issues to management.
• Monitor service and safety inspection requirements of assigned tractors and trailers.
• Assist with loading and unloading trailers.
• Keep the vehicle clean and litter-free.
• Always drive safely.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and company speed policies.
• Report any incidents or accidents immediately.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries and mileage.
• Maintain accurate driving logs

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2+ years of on-the-road driving experience as an AZ driver.
• Most have experience driving a 2017 Freightliner Cascadia 125 with an automatic transmission.
• Proven experience with Dry Van transportation.
• Clean and verifiable abstract record with no accidents.
• Valid 5+ Year G license.
• Strong knowledge of road safety regulations.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and responsibly.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance is a plus
• Ability to operate forklifts and heavy equipment preferred
• Familiarity with freight handling procedures
• Excellent time management skills
