You'll contribute to projects that define tomorrow's spaces—commercial buildings, retail environments, warehouses, tenant fit-outs, niche healthcare clinics, and specialty spaces. Many assignments span multiple locations, giving you exposure to national standards and coordination challenges that go beyond single-site work. This is your chance to make an impact while collaborating with architects, landlords, and contractors to deliver innovative, client-focused solutions.
Your Impact
- Design electrical systems for power distribution, lighting, communications, fire alarm, and emergency systems using Revit and AutoCAD.
- Deliver lighting calculations, fixture selections, and layouts for power and specialty systems that enhance functionality and sustainability.
- Apply codes and standards such as OBC, Ontario Electrical Safety Code, and ASHRAE to ensure compliance and quality.
- Support construction administration through RFIs, shop drawing reviews, and site visits.
- Collaborate with mechanical and other disciplines to create integrated design solutions that meet client needs.
The Skills That Set You Apart
- 3–7 years of experience in electrical design for building projects.
- Proficiency in Revit (mandatory) and AutoCAD; familiarity with lighting calculation tools is an asset.
- Strong knowledge of OBC, Ontario Electrical Safety Code, and ASHRAE standards.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in fast-paced environments.
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or comparable diploma; EIT/P.Eng. or CET designation is an asset.
- Experience mentoring junior designers or coordinating drafting teams is a plus.
