We are an Organic Food Distributor seeking a full time DZ Delivery Driver to travel and deliver customer orders in the Greater Toronto Area, Golden Horseshoe, and Niagara region.

Our address is: 8755 Keele Street, Concord, Ontario.

Must be available to work Tuesday to Friday starting at 6:00 AM for this job.

Candidates must have previous DZ Driver experience required (6 months - 1 year) and a valid DZ driver's license with air brake endorsement.

Must be comfortable driving to the following area: Downtown Toronto, Niagara Falls, Fort Erie, and other areas in the GTA

Must be comfortable with Handbombing (REQUIRED). Must be able to lift between 10-50 lbs repetitively.

Job Duties include:

  • Performs pre and post trip inspections of vehicle utilizing knowledge of safe and effective loading and handling procedures.
  • Reviews paperwork for completeness and accuracy.
  • Delivers and unloads products utilizing equipment including ramps, lift gates, pallet jacks, load bars and other devices which assist delivery.
  • Verifies piece count, leaves the appropriate paperwork and secures the required signatures and store stamps (when applicable) on delivery documents.
  • Operates vehicle safely within UNFI guidelines minimizing accidents, traffic violations and complaints from the public.
  • Reports any accident immediately to the Transportation Manager.
  • Keeps vehicles well maintained, safe, and secure. Reports any defects promptly to the Transportation Manager.
  • Addresses and resolves customer problems as appropriate.
  • Attends mandatory drivers meetings, training or administrative sessions as required.
  • Maintains the Company's professional reputation to customers, the public and company employees.
  • Performs duties in accordance with HACCP and Safe Quality Food (SQF) policies and procedures appropriate for location.
  • Assumes other related duties as required or assigned.

Compensation - We Offer:

  • Wage starts at $24.90/hour
  • Wage increases every once a year.
  • Flexible schedule: 4 day work week (Tuesday-Friday 6:00 am start)
