Medical Receptionist

Toronto ON MB W, Canada Interventional Pain and Spine Specialists of Canada Full time US$50,000 - US$70,000 per year

We are an emerging medical clinic that specializes in image guided injections for chronic pain. Brand new state of the art location. Candidates should have experience working as a medical receptionist already or have outstanding customer service skills. Salary is commensurate with experience.

Roles:

  • Act as a first point of contact for patients during clinic experience

  • Greet patients and visitors as they arrive

  • Manage high volume of phone calls and patient check ins

  • Schedule patients for consultations and procedures

  • Ensure patient satisfaction

  • Collect money for non-OHIP covered services

  • Patient registration and maintaining patient records on electronic medical record(Accuro EMR is a must)

o Completing accurate demographics, insurance information

o Scan patient records into Accuro EMR

o Ensure all required forms and documentation are completed prior to patient consultation

  • Respond to patient enquiries with a courteous and empathetic manner

  • Maintain a clean and organized reception area

Minimum qualifications:

  • Successful completion of a post-secondary diploma in medical administration, health or related field or equivalent experience

  • Medical clinic experience

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Experience working in a pain clinic is an asset

  • Needs to demonstrate a passion for delivering high quality, compassional and patient centred care

  • Proven ability to work proficiently and independently in a busy fast paced environment

  • Ability to establish priorities and achieve objectives with minimal supervision

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; superior phone etiquette

  • Strong understanding of medical terminology

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills

  • Ability to deal with time sensitive information with a degree of privacy and diplomacy

  • Experience with Accuro EMR

Job Types: Part-time, Full-time

Pay: $19.00-$25.00 per hour
