Engineer in Training

This opportunity is to become an important team member at Island Technical Installations Ltd (ITI) as an EIT. ITI is a rapidly growing company in the British Columbia electrical market that is looking to bring on qualified personnel.
This is a permanent full-time position based out of ITI's Vancouver office and will consist of a blend of office, shop, and field work.
The EIT position will provide exposure to a broad spectrum of the business operations including some or all of the following:
· Project management, procurement, scheduling
· Budget development and analysis
· Detailed design and drawing development
· Cost estimates and proposals
· Specification and tender/bid package reviews
· Policy, procedure creation and implementation
· Technical report writing
· Equipment and control system retrofit installations
· Cost analysis and cost reduction projects
Requirements
· Bachelor degree in engineering, eligible for registration as an Engineer-in-Training with the Engineers and Geoscientists of BC (EGBC)
· Excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills
· Must be a team player, willing to work with others in a fast-paced environment
· Intermediate/advanced computer skills
· Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite
· Travel outside of Victoria for fieldwork from time to time as required
· Working knowledge of AutoCAD
· Hands-on or field experience is considered an asset

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $65,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
