For this reason, it is imperative that you have a proven ability to use your own initiative and judgement and can represent the City of Brampton in a firm but courteous manner.

Position: Full-Time Dispatch
Site: City of Brampton - Bramalea Civic Centre - 150 Central Park Drive, Brampton, ON L6T1B4
Hours: Continental Nights
Payrate: $23.82/hr.
Averaging Agreement: Overtime is Averaging Agreement (AA) after 88 hours
Internal Posting Date: January 6th, 2026

Internal Closing Date: January 13th, 2026

External Closing Date: January 28th, 2026

Key Responsibilities 

In this key role, you will oversee several sites within the City of Brampton. Your role will be to monitor numerous systems including fire and life safety, access control and CCTVYou will assist in tracking and deployment of security staff and handle a variety of dispatch duties including incident call taking. 

• Utilizing Two-way Radio Communication and Perspective Software 

• Overseeing the tracking and deployment of security personnel across all of City of Brampton sites 

• Monitor numerous systems including fire and life safety 

• Access control and parking 

• Assign reports to security personnel when required using reporting software 

• Investigate routine incidents

Requirements:

Minimum 3 (three) years of dispatch security experience requiredMinimum 3 (three) years of security experience or related experience is an assetWorking knowledge of the Trespass to Property Act and Criminal CodeMust be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB)Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's UoF/MOAB certification program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the positionPlease be aware: The UoF/MOAB certification is not paid as it is a pre-requisite; however, Paladin will cover all of the costs of the certification with a 6-month commitment to the position/availabilityLegally authorized to work in Canada
