Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyperson Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in various carpentry tasks and a strong understanding of construction processes. This role involves working on diverse projects, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship, and adhering to safety standards. The Journeyperson Carpenter will collaborate with other tradespeople and contribute to the successful completion of construction projects.

Duties

  • Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made from wood, plywood, and wallboard.
  • Renovating existing structures
  • Utilize power tools and hand tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and assembling materials.
  • Knowledge of heavy-duty equipment would be an asset but not mandatory
  • Experience with Arial lifts, platforms, and scaffolding would be beneficial.
  • Ensure all work is plumb, level, and square according to project specifications.
  • Conduct construction estimating to assess material needs and project timelines.
  • Collaborate with electrical teams when necessary to ensure proper installation of fixtures.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety regulations.

Skills

  • Proficient in carpentry techniques with a solid understanding of construction principles.
  • Familiarity with various power tools used in carpentry work.
  • Ability to perform electrical tasks related to carpentry installations is advantageous.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work.
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
