Note: This is a short-term contract position with potential for full-time employment, based on performance and business needs.

Key Responsibilities

Sales, Customer Experience & Front-Line Support

  • Greet walk-in customers and assist with product selection
  • Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and web chat
  • Demonstrate products and assist with in-store auditions, including setting up HiFi audio systems
  • Process sales through POS systems, including payments, warranties, and return policies
  • Manage order follow-ups, cancellations, returns, and exchanges
  • Resolve customer complaints and service issues in a professional and timely manner

Store Operations & Inventory

  • Receive and organize incoming equipment shipments
  • Lift and move equipment using dollies as required (up to 50+ lbs)
  • Set up, stage, and maintain audio equipment displays
  • Manage store inventory, including inventory counts, receiving new stocks, keeping record of items and product locations
  • Ensure the store is clean, organized, and visually appealing
  • Opening and closing procedures, which may include keyholder Responsibilities

Marketing & Online Support

  • Take product photos and assist with writing product descriptions
  • Post products to websites and social media platforms
  • Support social media activity (Instagram, Facebook) with provided training
  • Assist with online marketplaces such as Canuck Audio Mart, training will be provided

What We're Looking For

  • High school diploma required (post-secondary education in a related field is an asset)
  • Strong enthusiasm for music, audio quality, and sound reproduction
  • Retail sales or customer service experience preferred
  • Comfortable lifting heavy equipment (50+lbs) and working hands-on
  • Experience with Canuk Audio Mart Website is a great asset though not required
  • Comfortable engaging potential customers and supporting lead generation activities, including follow-ups and sales outreach.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Computer-savvy and familiar with social media platforms and trends
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment

Schedule

  • Monday–Friday: 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • 8-hour shifts
  • In-person role only

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Richmond Hill, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

  • Retail Sales: over 2 years (preferred)
  • Customer Service: 1 year (preferred)

Job Type: Fixed term contract

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
