Helping Hands Nanny and Au Pair Services is seeking passionate, reliable, and experienced childcare professionals to join our network. We connect families with qualified caregivers and provide a safe, supportive platform for both providers and families.
We are currently recruiting on behalf of a loving family in Strathcona County for a part-time, live-out nanny/mothers' helper.
Position Summary
As a nanny, you will provide attentive and nurturing care in the family's home, ensuring a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for the children. This role is ideal for someone who is dependable, organized, and experienced in caring for children of all ages.
In addition to childcare, the successful candidate will assist with light housekeeping, cooking, dishes, laundry and pet care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, personalized childcare
- Support children's daily routines, hygiene, and meals
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities and play
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding routines and updates
- Assist with household tasks, including light housekeeping, cooking, and laundry
- Assist with homeschooling as required
- Assist with pet care as required
Qualifications
- At least 18 years of age
- Current Standard Childcare First Aid with CPR Level B or C
- Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening
- Proven experience caring for children, including children with more advanced behavioral needs
- Valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle required to reach the home
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Organized, proactive, and able to follow directions
- Receptive to feedback and committed to continuous improvement
- Able to provide recent childcare-related references
Hours of Work
Approximately 16 to 20 hours per week. 2 days per week, 4 to 5 hours in the afternoon. Opportunity for additional hours on occasion.
