Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Personal Support Worker (PSW) to provide exceptional care to clients in various settings, including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and private homes. The ideal candidate will have experience working with seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those requiring dementia care. This role involves supporting clients with daily activities, medication administration, meal preparation, and maintaining a clean and safe environment. The Certified PSW will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for those in their care through empathetic and professional support.

Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
  • Provide compassionate care to seniors and individuals with disabilities, including dementia patients
  • Administer medications accurately according to care plans and protocols
  • Support clients with meal preparation and nutritional needs
  • Assist with light housekeeping tasks to ensure a clean and safe environment
  • Offer emotional support and companionship to promote mental well-being
  • Follow care plans meticulously and document all care provided
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive client care

Qualifications

  • Valid certification as a Personal Support Worker (PSW) or equivalent credential
  • Experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home care environments preferred
  • Knowledge of senior care, dementia care, medication administration, and working with people with disabilities
  • Strong caregiving skills combined with patience, empathy, and excellent communication abilities
  • Ability to perform light cleaning and meal preparation tasks effectively
  • Reliable, responsible, and committed to providing high-quality client-centered care
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
