Join the Maintenance team at Sparkling Hill Resort We are currently looking for a motivated, positive and organized individual with a strong work ethic for a full-time position as an HVAC Technician.
Sparkling Hill Resort is a leading health & wellness resort comprised of 149 guest rooms including three Penthouses, in addition to a 40,000 sq. ft. spa, 3 swimming pools, 7 unique themed steam & sauna rooms, experience showers and several restaurants including PeakFine, Barrique & Java and Gerni's Farmhouse, as well as our seasonal Fireside Lounge & Terrace. Being a unique facility that incorporates a wide variety of systems, equipment and services, the ideal candidate would bring with them a broad understanding of large facility operations.

Responsibilities:
- Inspection and repair of heating and cooling systems and accompanying components
- Knowledge of boiler and water system operation and repair
- Identifying and diagnosing deficiencies or problems and creating plans to address them
- Inspection and repair of pool systems
- Gathering information on current systems and identifying areas for improvement
- Inspection and repair of HVAC systems, including replacing filters and diagnosing problems
- Maintaining up to date knowledge of current technologies
- Proficiency in DDC system including addressing faults
- Creating and implementing a preventative maintenance plan
- Develop and maintain inventory system
- Ensure inventory is in good repair
- Identifying if there is a need for third party involvement and if so that the work is completed accurately
- Plan and oversee repairs and projects ranging from minor tasks to larger scale undertakings
- Ensure that all tasks, repairs and projects are completed cost effectively
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized job site
Qualifications:
- Must have a valid HVAC technician certificate
- Excellent communication, problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work cohesively as part of a team and independently
- A desire to go above and beyond
- Previous experience in hotel operation an asset
- Previous experience with pool & water systems, refrigeration & HVAC systems required
- Knowledge in geothermal energy is an asset
- Must have reliable transportation
