Location: Shelburne, ON

Hours: Approximately 20–28 hours per week. Must be available to work every Saturday (closed on long weekends).

Compensation: Starting at $25.00/hour.

Shelburne Optometry & Aura Eye Spa is growing, and we're looking for a part time Licensed Optician to join our friendly, professional team.

About the Role

As a part-time Optician, you'll play a key role in our patient experience—helping patients select eyewear that fits their vision needs, lifestyle, and personal style. This is a varied and engaging role that combines optical expertise with patient care and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist patients with frame and lens selection
• Perform eyewear fittings, adjustments, and minor repairs
• Place, track, and manage optical orders and warranties
• Educate patients on contact lens use and care
• Support front desk operations (scheduling, phones, direct billing)
• Conduct pre-testing (auto-refraction, OCT, visual fields, etc.)
• Assist with occasional dry eye treatment protocols
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming clinic environment

Qualifications

• Registered Optician in Ontario (required)
• Minimum 1 year of optical or clinical experience
• Confident with dispensing, fitting, and optical sales
• Friendly, reliable, and highly organized
• Comfortable multitasking in a busy clinic setting
• Available to work Saturdays
• Tech-savvy (experience with Optosys, Google Drive, Slack, Canva, or RingCentral is an asset)
