Job Opportunity: Project Manager – Business Intelligence

Location: Remote (Canada)

Duration: 12–18 months

Reports To: Senior Director, Business Intelligence

About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a transformational Business Intelligence migration program. This role will oversee the decommissioning of legacy platforms (IBM Cognos, Excel ODBC, and the existing data warehouse) while driving adoption of Google Looker and BigQuery.

You'll be responsible for managing timelines, risks, and stakeholder engagement across multiple systems and teams—ensuring a smooth transition to modern, scalable data solutions.

What You'll Do

  • Project Leadership: Own the full lifecycle of the BI migration program, from roadmap creation to execution.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary liaison between technical teams, business users, and leadership.
  • Change Management: Drive adoption of Looker and BigQuery through training, workshops, and communication plans.
  • Data Ecosystem Transition: Oversee migration from the legacy data warehouse to BigQuery, ensuring data integrity.
  • Risk & Issue Management: Identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and escalate critical issues as needed.
  • Documentation: Maintain clear project artifacts, decisions, and lessons learned.

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of project management experience, ideally in BI or data migration projects.
  • Proven ability to manage complex, multi-system transitions.
  • Familiarity with BI tools (Cognos, Looker) and data platforms (BigQuery).
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Experience in change management and user adoption strategies.
  • Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Jira, MS Project).
