Under the general direction of the Director of Advancement, Faculty of Dentistry, the Development Officer, Annual and Leadership Giving provides structure and procedures necessary to achieve the largest capital campaign in the Faculty's history. Using your strong relationship building, fundraising and communication skills, you will contribute to the development and implementation of plans for prospect identification, cultivation, solicitation and recognition and will monitor and evaluate a prospect's giving capacity and readiness to give a major contribution to the Faculty. You will also support alumni and faculty in endeavours such as reunions and selected Alumni specialty days, sponsorship generation, gift-in-kind processing , as well as the management of student awards and funds. You will be responsible for the review, analysis and reconciliation of the Advancement budgets. Stewardship is an important part of the Department, and you will have the oversight ofthe Faculty's donor financial and narrative reports on an annual and ongoing basis and participate in other stewardship opportunities such as managing the holiday card program. As a member of the team you will play a critical role in the operations of the unit, supporting our value proposition with our donors and alumni, and strengthening the Faculty's major gift pipeline. This role is currently eligible for a hybrid work arrangement, pursuant to University policies and guidelines, including but not limited to the University of Toronto's Alternative Work Arrangements Guideline. Your responsibilities will include:Assessing needs and contributing to the development and implementation of plans for prospect identification, cultivation, solicitation and recognitionMeeting face-to-face with current and potential donors to discuss giving interests and opportunitiesDeveloping and implementing leadership and annual giving plans to support donor management and stewardship strategies and/or activitiesAnalyzing the impact of stewardship programming on fundraising initiativesDeveloping content for marketing and/or promotional materialsWriting project-specific proposals related to fundraising campaignsDeveloping and implementing communication plans that support strategic objectivesSupporting the reconciliation and of the Advancement budgets and the management of student awards and fundsEssential Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience in a fundraising and/or communications roleMinimum three years of fundraising experience, preferably in leadership and annual giving within a University or healthcare environment and a proven track record of successExperience with donor contact and personal solicitation for donationsExperience with identifying and cultivating steward prospects and donors at the leadership giving level(
