Duties

  • Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces to uphold high cleanliness standards
  • Maintain cleanliness of public areas such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and elevators by sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting surfaces regularly
  • Care for floors by using appropriate cleaning equipment and techniques to ensure safety and appearance are maintained at all times
  • Restock supplies like toiletries, towels, linens, and amenities to ensure guest needs are met promptly and efficiently
  • Follow established safety procedures during cleaning tasks to prevent accidents or injuries in both guest areas and staff-only zones
  • Assist with special cleaning projects such as industrial cleaning or deep sanitation when required to uphold hygiene standards
  • Report any maintenance issues or damages discovered during cleaning to the appropriate department for prompt resolution

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in cleaning or custodial roles, preferably within a hotel or hospitality environment
  • Knowledge of floor care techniques including sweeping, mopping, polishing, and carpet cleaning
  • Familiarity with janitorial equipment and industrial cleaning tools to perform various sanitation tasks effectively
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
  • Ability to work efficiently independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced setting
  • Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and report issues clearly
  • Prior experience in housekeeping management is a plus but not required; willingness to learn is essential
