Role Description

This is a part-time, on-site role for an X-Ray Technician at our York, ON location. The X-Ray Technician will be responsible for performing diagnostic X-ray imaging procedures while ensuring patient safety, preparing and managing examination rooms and equipment, and maintaining accurate patient records. The role also involves adhering to radiation safety guidelines and assisting patients throughout the imaging process. Additionally, the X-Ray Technician will collaborate closely with other healthcare team members to ensure effective communication and optimal patient care.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Radiologic Technology and Radiology practices
  • Understanding and application of Radiation Safety standards
  • Certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or equivalent professional credentials
  • Familiarity with medical practices and terminology
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow protocols
  • Physical ability to perform duties that may involve standing, moving equipment, and assisting patients
  • Current CPR certification is an asset
