Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Welder/Fitter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience in welding and fitting, with a keen ability to read and interpret schematics. This role involves assembling and building components using hand tools and power tools, ensuring high-quality standards are met throughout the fabrication process.

Responsibilities

• Utilize hand tools and power tools to assemble and fit metal components according to specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine project requirements.
• Perform welding tasks using various techniques to ensure structural integrity of assemblies.
• Rig and position heavy materials for welding processes, utilizing cranes when necessary.
• Conduct inspections of completed work to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and project goals.

Experience

• Proven experience as a Welder/Fitter or similar role in a manufacturing or construction environment.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate various hand tools and power tools effectively.
• Familiarity with welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and stick welding.
• Experience in rigging heavy materials and understanding of crane operations is a plus.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating strong communication skills.
• Attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
