We are seeking creative, dynamic, and committed teachers to join our team at Riverview Alternative School. Welcome to Riverview Alternative School (also known as "The River") We are a K-6 school and home to over 280 students. Our mantra is "Go with the flow" Our school is truly a collaborative, creative and compassionate group of educators, Office Administrators and support personnel. Riverview has a strong lens on diversity and equity. Our focus is on natured based learning. You will often see our students exploring our beautiful site in rubber boots, snowshoes and cross country skis. We pride ourselves on providing safe spaces for all our learners.

All Occasional Teachers are eligible to apply for Long Term Occasional postings for which they are qualified.

Qualifications
If you are fully external to the OCDSB, you may apply to this posting if you have the required qualifications. Please be advised that our order of consideration for Elementary LTO's is as follows:

• current elementary occasional teacher applicants, followed by
• qualified external applicants.

Required Qualifications
OCT Divisional Qualifications: Primary, Junior
OCT Additional Qualifications: Spec ed Part 2
Additional Requirements (experience, knowledge, education,) considered an asset for the Position: Math qualifications are an asset. Applicants would benefit from having experience
working in schools that have higher special education needs, behavioural needs and social emotional needs. Experience working, co-planning, co-teaching, and working as a team with many other staff is an asset.
