Reporting to the Senior Manager, Infrastructure Engineering Services, the Sr. Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for:
lead and manage all aspects of contract administration for the Columbus Road Phase 1 Construction Project, ensuring effective implementation and delivery;
coordinate and chair all construction-related meetings, including agenda preparation, facilitation, and issuance of accurate meeting minutes;
establish, maintain, and manage comprehensive contract records, including drawings, specifications, addenda, tender documents, shop drawings, and correspondence;
Interpret contract documents consistently and fairly, issuing written clarifications, instructions, and field directives as required;
manage change management processes, including change requests, extra work, unit price adjustments, and negotiation of change orders in accordance with contract terms;
ensure compliance with all applicable provincial legislation, regulations, codes, standards, municipal by-laws, and permit requirements;
review contractor schedules and progress updates, monitor milestones, and assess delay claims, time extension requests, and weather impacts with recommendations per contract provisions;
coordinate with municipal staff, consultants, and contractors for materials testing, structural inspections, environmental monitoring, and regulatory reporting;
verify completed work against inspections, consultant recommendations, as-built quantities, and permit approvals (e.g., CLOCA, DFO, MECP);
review and certify monthly progress payments, including verification of quantities, holdback calculations, and supporting documentation;
provide financial oversight by administering capital project budgets, preparing cost-sharing summaries and invoices, and advising on financial risks and potential overruns;
monitor contractor compliance with Traffic Management Plans, environmental permits, erosion and sediment control measures, and health and safety requirements;
recommend acceptance or rejection of completed work and determine and certify Substantial Performance and Total Performance of the Work;
engage and collaborate with internal departments, developers, consultants, adjacent municipalities, and regional and provincial agencies, providing expert engineering leadership and support; and
respond to public inquiries, complaints, safety incidents, and emergency site issues, and perform other related duties and assignments as required.

You are able to align and integrate multi-faceted plans that enable you to collaboratively achieve goals.
As the successful applicant, you must possess:
Degree in Civil Engineering or Applied Science from a recognized university
Licensed as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) in good standing with the Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO).
More than 10 years of directly related experience with progressively more responsibility in project management including planning, design, budget preparation, procurement, scheduling and construction of infrastructure projects.
A minimum of 5 years with an engineering consultant is preferred.
Demonstrated experience in strategic studies such as master plans and environmental assessments.
Intermediate level computer knowledge and skills in Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel).
