This hybrid role is based in our Toronto office.
The targeted annual salary range for this position is $ 82,200 to $95,870 and is commensurate with experience. This role also includes a comprehensive total rewards package.
About the Opportunity
Are you a strategic, data-driven sales professional with a track record of driving engagement and solutions that fuel growth? CPA Canada is seeking an experienced Senior Specialist, Sales Engagement Operations to lead and optimize our sales operations, reporting, and outreach across key sectors including the accounting profession, academia, business, and government.
In this individual contributor role, you will play a critical part in building and managing relationships, supporting small firm and member sales, and delivering high-value insights that inform business development and sales strategy. You will work cross-functionally with internal teams and leverage CRM systems & data tools to ensure CPA Canada's engagement efforts are targeted, effective, and aligned with strategic priorities.
What You'll Do
Sales & Engagement Operations
- Lead inbound sales initiatives targeting small firms and individual members, ensuring strong pipeline management and conversion rates.
- Optimize tools, processes, and frameworks that support engagement activities such as relationship tracking, event participation, and contact management.
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., Product, Creative, Customer Insights, Events, Marketing & Communications) to plan, execute, and track outreach efforts, meetings, and strategic partnerships.
- Maintain CRM (HubSpot) data integrity, support lead flow processes, and produce accurate sales and engagement reporting.
Reporting, Insights & Performance Monitoring
- Produce and deliver regular and ad hoc reports on customer engagement, sales performance, and relationship coverage.
- Analyze data to uncover patterns, develop actionable recommendations, and inform decisions that drive member value and engagement.
- Collaborate with Customer Insights team on analytics related to customer satisfaction, outreach & engagement effectiveness and product & campaign feedback.
- Develop dashboards, presentation materials, and briefing documents for leadership and cross-functional teams.
Sales Support
- Execute outbound sales campaigns, email marketing workflows, and follow-up sequences in coordination with internal colleagues.
- Perform product demos to individual clients.
- Collaborate with Finance to ensure accurate pricing, invoicing, and tracking of revenue from small firms and member sales, including bulk / group sign-ups.
- Partner with Marketing to align messaging, timing, and targeting for campaigns and promotions.
- Assist in the creation and optimization of sales materials, outreach templates, and proposals.
- Track campaign performance metrics and make recommendations to improve conversion rates and outreach effectiveness.
- Support coordination of promotional activities during events and product launches to drive awareness and engagement.
What we're looking for
Required:
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in sales, account management, customer engagement, or operations.
- Strong knowledge of CRM systems (preferably HubSpot) and experience in lead management, sales reporting, and data analysis.
- Proven ability to translate data into insights that influence decisions and outcomes.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and project management skills.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving and collaboration.
- Knowledge of the accounting profession or professional association landscape is an asset.
- Undergraduate degree in Business, Communications, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency with data tools such as Excel, Power BI, or similar platforms.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings to varied audiences.
- Optional: Ability to conduct business in French.

- Cross-Functional Collaboration – Experience working with Finance, Marketing, and Product teams to align sales campaigns with broader organizational goals.
- Analytical Thinking – Ability to interpret data and engagement trends to shape sales strategies, track performance, and deliver meaningful reports.
- Communication & Influence – Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable engaging customers and partners at all levels with professionalism and clarity.
- Detail Orientation & Project Management – Capable of juggling multiple sales initiatives with precision, while meeting deadlines and performance targets.
- Customer Focus – Dedicated to delivering a positive experience for members and customers through timely, helpful, and solution-oriented interactions.
