Job Title: Taekwondo Coach / Instructor

Location: Niagara Region (Multiple school locations within the Niagara Region and must be able to travel)

Job Type: Full-Time

Our programs focus on discipline, confidence, and personal growth for all ages. We are looking for a passionate and skilled Taekwondo Instructor to join our dedicated team and help inspire our students to achieve their full potential.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and effective Taekwondo classes for students of various ages and skill levels (kids, teens, and adults).
  • Teach and demonstrate proper techniques, forms, and sparring strategies in alignment with WT (World Taekwondo) standards.
  • Foster a safe, respectful, and encouraging environment for all students.
  • Provide individualized feedback to help students improve and advance in their training.
  • Prepare students for belt tests, tournaments, and demonstrations.
  • Train, mentor, and guide junior instructors to ensure consistent teaching quality and professional growth.
  • Work with administrative staff and head instructors to ensure efficient school management.
  • Maintain the facility's cleanliness and organization by adhering to a regular maintenance schedule.
  • Be available to work in different locations across the Niagara Region as needed.
  • Travel to local tournaments and events as necessary to support and coach students as needed.
  • Assist in organizing, and participating in events such as belt tests, tournaments, and community outreach programs.
  • Maintain open communication with students, parents, and fellow staff members.

Qualifications:

  • Black Belt in Taekwondo (preferably 2nd Dan or higher) with certification recognized by WT or Kukkiwon.
  • Taekwondo Canada Assistant Instructor or Dojang coach certification is an asset.
  • Previous coaching or teaching experience is required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain it).
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends as required.
  • Availability to work in different locations across the Niagara Region as needed.
