Join a dynamic and forward-thinking team in the beautiful Township of South Frontenac, where you'll play a key role in shaping the future of our vibrant community. As a Planner with our Development Services team, you will be at the heart of South Frontenac's growth and development, contributing your expertise to guide planning decisions that impact the Township's success.
In this role, you'll have the opportunity to apply your deep knowledge of the Planning Act, Township Official Plan, Zoning By-law, and other critical policies. You'll be empowered to provide valuable planning insights, advice, and direction to staff, Council, Committees, and the public, ensuring South Frontenac's development aligns with our long-term vision and strategic priorities.
Key Responsibilities Include:
· Responding to inquiries and processing applications under the Planning Act
· Preparing reports for and attending Council and Committee of Adjustment meetings
· Offering professional planning opinions and recommendations to Council, Committees, and the public
· Collaborating with stakeholders to foster positive relationships and promote efficient development
We're looking for a dedicated professional with 3-5 years of planning experience, ideally in a municipal setting. If you're someone who thrives on communication and collaboration, with strong interpersonal skills, this role is for you
Qualifications:
· Registered Professional Planner (RPP) or eligible for full membership in the Canadian Institute of Planners (CIP) and Ontario Professional Planners Institute (OPPI).
- A degree in Planning, Geography, or a related field

We offer a competitive salary range of $83,990.40 to $100,006.40, commensurate with experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your well-being and work-life balance.
