Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Senior Tax Accountant, based in Toronto, ON, with the flexibility for some remote work. The Senior Tax Accountant will manage key tax compliance and preparation activities, including personal and corporate tax returns, and ensure compliance with tax regulations. Additional responsibilities include reviewing financial statements, preparing reports, and offering insights and support for client financial strategies. The Senior Tax Accountant will also provide expertise and advice on accounting matters and mentor junior team members as required.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Tax, Tax Compliance, and Tax Preparation (T1's, T2's and T3's)
  • Strong Technical knowledge of Accounting and preparation of Financial Statements and Accounting principles
  • CPA designation or a similar professional accounting qualification is preferred
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under deadlines
  • Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks Online) and tax filing systems (Tax Prep)
  • Previous experience in a similar role, ideally with exposure to personal and corporate tax
  • Effective communication skills to liaise with clients and team members
