Services include personal care, companionship, skilled nursing, Alzheimer's and dementia care, physical support, and more. Our goal is to create personalized care plans tailored to evolving needs, with a dedicated Care Planner as a single point of contact. We also supply skilled healthcare staff to senior living communities, hospitals, and other facilities.

Role Description

This is a part-time on-site role for a Personal Support Worker based in Renfrew and Pembroke, ON. Responsibilities include assisting clients with personal care such as bathing, dressing, and hygiene, as well as meal preparation and feeding when necessary. Additional duties involve providing companionship, aiding with mobility, supporting daily living activities, collaborating with healthcare professionals, and ensuring safety and well-being. The role may require supporting specialized care programs, such as Alzheimer's or palliative care.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in personal care and support worker responsibilities
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to foster positive client relationships
  • Knowledge of safeguarding practices to promote the well-being and safety of clients
  • Effective communication skills to interact with clients, families, and healthcare teams
  • Technical support abilities related to mobility aids, medical devices, or care tools
  • Certification as a Personal Support Worker or equivalent qualification
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification
  • Experience in dementia or palliative care is an asset
  • Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation is preferred
