Role Overview

Seeking a highly experienced Senior TM1 Architect to lead the review and optimization of a complex financial planning and reporting implementation. This role demands deep technical expertise, strategic thinking, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to drive performance, scalability, and maintainability of TM1 models.

Key Responsibilities


• Conduct a comprehensive architecture and model review of the existing TM1 implementation


• Identify performance bottlenecks, design inefficiencies, and opportunities for optimization


• Recommend and implement best practices for model structuring, rule writing, and data flow


• Collaborate with finance, IT, and business teams to align technical improvements with business goals


• Provide guidance on integration with upstream/downstream systems and data sources


• Document findings, recommendations, and a roadmap for enhancements


• Mentor junior developers and support knowledge transfer to internal teams

Required Skills & Experience


• 8+ years of hands-on experience with IBM TM1/Planning Analytics, including TurboIntegrator and Rules


• Proven track record of architecting and optimizing large-scale TM1 models in financial environments


• Strong understanding of financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes


• Experience with TM1 performance tuning, feeder optimization, and cube design


• Familiarity with Planning Analytics Workspace (PAW) and Planning Analytics for Excel (PAx)


• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills


• Ability to work independently and deliver high-impact outcomes in fast-paced settings

Preferred Qualifications


• TM1 certification or equivalent credentials


• Exposure to Cognos BI, SQL, or other enterprise reporting tools


• Experience in regulated industries or compliance-sensitive environments
