The Town of Innisfil is looking for students that have a strong sense of customer service and enjoy working outdoors to join our Operations team as Parks and Facilities Maintenance Students.
You will be working throughout Innisfil at various Town owned buildings and greenspaces helping Operations crews in maintaining them for the enjoyment of residents and visitors.
Applicants will be required to work a variety of shifts including days, afternoons and weekends.
Job tasks include but are not limited to:
- Grass cutting and trimming, operating gas powered handheld equipment
- Horticultural duties including pruning, planting, weeding and watering
- Brushing and tree clearing related activities
- Garbage and litter picking, emptying garbage cans
- Cleaning and maintenance of facilities and outdoor washrooms and facility change rooms
- Equipment maintenance
- Customer Service and dealing with the public
- Assisting with Special Events, set ups and take downs
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Job Requirements:
- At least 16 years of age
- Valid Social Insurance Number (SIN)
- Experience in parks/landscape/horticulture and facilities environment is an asset
- Valid First Aid and CPR certification is an asset
- Valid Class G driver's license
