WELDER FITTERS NEEDED

Dynamic Millwrights is a full-service company located in Listowel, Ontario, with extensive expertise in agricultural, commercial, and industrial millwrighting and fabrication. Reporting to the Shop Manager, the role of an experienced welder fitter is ideal for a highly skilled tradesperson who takes pride in craftsmanship, safety, and teamwork.

Job responsibilities include:

  • Perform high-quality welding and fitting on custom fabrication projects, including structural steel, equipment frames, piping, etc.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, weld symbols, and specifications
  • Layout, fit, tack, and weld components to tight tolerances using applicable welding processes (e.g., MIG, TIG, Stick, Flux-Core)
  • Ensure all work meets company quality standards, customer specifications, and applicable codes
  • Conduct visual weld inspections and dimensional checks prior to final approval
  • Identify and correct deficiencies in fit-up, welding technique, or materials
  • Operate fabrication equipment such as saws, presses, rollers, grinders, and lifting devices
  • Keep a clean and well-organized shop and workspace, other housekeeping duties as required
  • Other general assembly and maintenance duties as required
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Journeyperson Welder and/or Fitter/Millwright certification (or equivalent experience)
  • 7+ years of experience in custom fabrication and/or millwright environments
  • Strong fitting skills and ability to work independently from drawings
  • Experience working with carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum (asset)
  • Previous mentoring or leadership experience considered an asset
  • Forklift, overhead crane, and lift certifications (or willingness to obtain)
  • High attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
  • Strong problem-solving and mechanical aptitude
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work with changing and tight deadlines
  • Physically capable of performing trade duties, including lifting, standing, and working at heights

Working Conditions:

  • Must follow all OHSA and Company health and safety policies and procedures
  • Ability to lift and carry objects up to 50lbs
  • Manual dexterity required
  • Frequently noisy working environment
  • Overtime as required
  • Able to remain standing for long periods of time

Pay: $25.00-$38.00 per hour
