We are seeking a motivated and reliable Carpentry Apprentice to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who wants to build a long-term career in residential construction, renovations, and high-quality carpentry work. You will work alongside experienced journeymen and gain hands-on experience across a wide range of projects while progressing through your apprenticeship.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist journeyman carpenters with residential renovations, additions, and new construction
  • Perform general carpentry tasks including:
  • Framing (walls, floors, decks, stairs)
  • Demolition and site prep
  • Installation of windows, doors, trim, and finishes
  • Measuring, cutting, and assembling materials
  • Safely operate hand tools and power tools
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site
  • Load, unload, and transport materials as required
  • Follow drawings, plans, and verbal instructions
  • Learn and apply proper construction methods and safety practices
  • Communicate clearly with team members and supervisors

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Registered carpentry apprentice or actively pursuing apprenticeship registration
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
  • Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
  • Basic understanding of hand and power tools (training provided)
  • Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and working on active construction sites
  • Reliable transportation to job sites
  • Punctual, dependable, and professional attitude
  • Commitment to job-site safety

Assets (Not Required)

  • Previous construction or labour experience
  • Enrollment in ITA / SkilledTradesBC apprenticeship program
  • First Aid Level 1
  • Fall Protection or WHMIS certification
  • Interest in residential building and long-term career growth

Schedule
