Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Pharmacist located in Brandon, MB. The Pharmacist or Intern will be responsible for dispensing medications accurately, providing expert consultation to patients regarding their prescriptions, and offering health advice. The role includes ensuring compliance with all provincial and federal regulations, managing inventory, and collaborating with pharmacy teams to provide high-quality care and services. The individual will also engage in counseling patients on prescription use and possible side effects.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid pharmacist license, are a 4th year pharmacy student at a Canadian University, or are an IPG with successful PEBC Qualifying Part 1 & 2 exams and are ready to start an internship
• In good standing with the provincial regulatory body.
• Strong knowledge and demonstrated skills in prescription dispensing and patient counseling.
• Ability to monitor and manage pharmaceutical inventory effectively.
• Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in understanding and following provincial and federal healthcare regulations.
• A commitment to providing exceptional patient care with attention to detail.
• Experience in team collaboration and a strong commitment to continuous learning in the field of pharmacy.
• Experience in community pharmacy or retail pharmacy operations is an asset.
• Proficiency in using pharmacy software systems is desirable.
