Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and caulking as necessary
- Apply paints, stains, and coatings using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to understand project requirements
- Assist in restoration projects by repairing damaged surfaces and structures
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients to ensure project specifications are met
- Manage time efficiently to meet project deadlines while maintaining quality standards
Experience
- Proven experience in construction painting, residential painting, commercial painting, or industrial painting
- Familiarity with carpentry techniques and rigging is preferred
- Strong understanding of time management principles to prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and team members
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical documents related to construction projects
