Job Posting – Conveyor Line Operator (Forklift Support) – Evening Shift

Location: Zoom Books Warehouse – 101 Mack Ave, Scarborough, ON

Hours: 4:00 p.m. – 12:30 a.m. (Monday – Friday)

Pay Range: $17.60 – $19.00 per hour + 4% vacation pay

Type: Full-time, on-site, permanent

What you'll do (This is a conveyor role – 90% of your shift)

  • Monitor and manage a conveyor line to keep product flowing smoothly.
  • Clear jams quickly and safely, troubleshoot minor issues, and report anything that needs maintenance support.
  • Ensure product stays organized and moving to the correct areas (basic scanning/label checks as needed).
  • Keep the work area clean and clear, following all safety policies and best practices.

Forklift Support (About 10% of your shift)

  • Operate a sit-down electric forklift as needed to move and position gaylords.
  • Help with staging, relocating, and organizing gaylords based on direction from the inventory system.
  • Perform basic forklift checks and follow all equipment and safety procedures.

What we're looking for

  • Valid forklift licence/certification and experience operating a sit-down forklift.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to stay alert and engaged while monitoring a fast-moving conveyor line.
  • Able to work quickly and accurately without constant supervision.
  • Comfortable using a scanner, basic laptop functions, and reading simple labels.
  • Steel-toed footwear and reliable attendance.

Nice to have

  • Experience in book, e-commerce, or 3PL warehousing.
  • Basic knowledge of book categories (hardcover, textbook, etc.).
