Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Cross-Border LTL Dispatcher to manage freight movements on our Northeastern United States to West Coast Canada lane. This role is responsible for overseeing cross-border LTL operations from dispatch through delivery, ensuring regulatory compliance, on-time performance, and seamless coordination between drivers, customers, and internal teams. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with cross-border dispatching and long-haul LTL operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Dispatch and manage cross-border LTL shipments from the Northeastern U.S. into Western Canada
  • Coordinate driver schedules, linehaul movements, and relay points across international borders
  • Ensure all cross-border documentation and shipment details are accurate and compliant
  • Communicate clearly with drivers regarding routes, border requirements, transit expectations, and delivery instructions
  • Track shipments and provide timely, accurate updates to customers and internal stakeholders
  • Monitor compliance with Canadian and U.S. Hours of Service regulations and company policies
  • Proactively resolve delays, border issues, or service exceptions using a solutions-driven approach
  • Collaborate closely with operations, customer service, and warehouse teams to optimize lane performance
  • Maintain accurate records and real-time updates within the TMS and dispatch systems

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Proven experience as a cross-border dispatcher, preferably in LTL and long-haul operations
  • Strong knowledge of Northeastern U.S. and Western Canadian geography
  • Solid understanding of cross-border shipping procedures and documentation
  • Working knowledge of both Canadian and U.S. Hours of Service regulations
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with TMS and dispatch software
  • High attention to detail and commitment to service reliability
