Founded in 1894, Tyndale is located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.POSITION PURPOSEThis tenure-track position in business, at the Associate Professor or Professor rank, will involve providing leadership to the Business program, developing relationships with local businesses, and teaching introductory and upper-level courses in his or her area of expertise that serve the BBA and BA Business programs.Primary ResponsibilitiesThe Associate Professor or Professor of Business will be expected to serve the Tyndale community through:Committee assignmentsRegular engagement in scholarly researchTeaching a 3/3 course load across two 13-week semesters.Endowment funds can be used to buy down the course load to provide greater research and program development opportunities for the chairholder.POSITION QUALIFICATIONSa) EducationPhD or DBA in an area related to business (e.g., Marketing, Finance, Accounting, etc.);a demonstrated ability to provide leadership and entrepreneurial insight;evidence of capacity for scholarly research;a demonstrated commitment to the integration of faith and learning.Candidates with a Master's degree and significant business experience, or those with terminal degrees in areas closely related to business, will also be considered.b) ExperienceThose who are currently at the rank of Assistant Professor are eligible to apply, provided that their teaching and research profile is sufficient for an initial appointment as Associate Professor.c) Personal CharacteristicsStrong commitment to the liberal arts and student transformationCommitted to Tyndale's mission, values, statement of faith and community standards statementsHow to ApplyExternal candidates can apply for the position at the External Career Centre.
