Job Description
What is the Opportunity?
RBC is currently seeking to hire Sr. QE. You will be responsible for effective planning, executing and tracking functional tests for IAM Program. Reporting to Sr. Manager QE, your objective is to ensure the QE processes are well defined, executed and continually monitored. Working with different project teams to ensure Functional test suite is up to date and remains relevant. You will be accountable for driving quality and champion defect prevention/early defect detection and maximizing test coverage.

What will you do?

• Provide support to QE Lead/Manager on estimation and work allocation for the team acting as a release lead in full capacity.
• Lead independent releases including integration testing and bring up risks to QE manager in a timely fashion and prepare for contingency.
• Prepare daily and weekly status and milestone reports on projects under test execution.
• Provide project status and bring up issues to the PM related to dates, quality or any other risk.
• Create and review Test Plan, Test Execution document, Test Suite, Traceability matrix etc. and walkthrough with different teams, plan and coordinate defect triage.
• Effectively communicates and builds rapport with team members, stakeholders and business partners using a variety of techniques and collaboration from initiation to close.

What do you need to Succeed?
Must have:

• 6+ years of experience as QE professional.
• Knowledge on basic automation concepts on any tool (Selenium, UFT).
• Computer Engineering, Computer Science, related (technical) degree/diploma or equivalent experience (e.g., Java, C, SQL DB querying)
• Good knowledge of Testing Life Cycle, SDLC and Defect Management processes for application support and development, hands on experience with ALM, JIRA and Confluence preferred.
• Expert level knowledge with Testing Process and Methodologies.
• Experience with Iterative Waterfall and Agile Project Methodologies
• Strong problem solving, design, and analytical skills and out of the box thinking coming up with creative solutions on testing approach in critical timelines.

Nice to have

• QE related certification. E.g. ISTQB, Agile testing, Selenium, Java etc.
• Knowledge of SailPoint and CyberArk.
