At CBC/Radio-Canada, we create content that informs, entertains and connects Canadians on multiple platforms. Our successes and accomplishments are driven by embodying and upholding values, which include creativity, integrity, inclusiveness and relevance.
Do you think you have the ability and drive to keep up with this exciting, ever-changing industry? Whether it be in front of the camera, on air, online or behind the scenes, you would be joining a team that thrives on making connections and telling stories that are important to Canadians.

11:59 PMBehind the scenes, but ahead of the curve: help us develop the next-generation public broadcaster.
Created in 2015 to align, lighten and modernize infrastructure, the Technology & Infrastructure (T&I) team is the backbone and the future-forward arm of CBC/Radio-Canada. We are the people that make stuff work. We make connections — between media content, systems, people and places. We are the space in between.
A place with purpose, CBC/Radio-Canada has always been a highly regarded pioneer of media technology. Not just in Canada, but around the world. Today, we're transforming ourselves from a conventional radio and television broadcaster into a modern digital media company. Technology is the driving force, and we are the team making it happen.
This role requires full-time on-site presence.
Your role
You will be responsible for coordinating the use and ensuring the continuity of acquisition, feed and communication resources for CBC/Radio-Canada networks and external clients. You will distribute the signals of programs or program segments, ensuring quality control.
More specifically, you will communicate and interact with requesting partners and other support and maintenance groups; ensure the operational continuity of digital control room equipment and related tools; monitor audio/video feeds, websites and digital apps operated by Radio-, ICI TOU.TV and other Corporation services/partners; co-ordinate and perform webcast operations; and update scheduling information or other related documents. You may also be required to troubleshoot and operate the radio presentation booth and TV master control room.
We are looking for a candidate with the following:
a) Qualifications:
- Community college diploma in TV production techniques, electronics, computer science or other relevant field
- Three or more years' experience performing related duties
b) Skills:
- Judgment, initiative and proactive attitude
- Problem-solving skills
- Strong ability to communicate with multiple stakeholders; people and teamwork skills
- Knowledge of satellite, terrestrial and IP transmission
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Bilingualism (English and French) an asset
- Familiarity with a radio presentation booth and TV master control room an asset
- Computer knowledge
- Willingness to work on a rotating schedule (day, evening and night shifts)
Candidates may be subject to skills and knowledge testing.
We thank all applicants for their interest, but only candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.
