Music Teacher

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and professional Music Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will deliver engaging lessons following the school's teaching standards and educational approach. This role requires working closely with students and families while maintaining a safe, respectful, and consistent learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Foster a supportive and encouraging classroom environment to motivate students.
• Teach private, semi-private, and group music lessons to students aged 4 and up.
• Follow the school's curriculum, teaching philosophy, and lesson structure.
• Prepare students for recitals, evaluations, and performances
• Track student progress and communicate feedback to parents and the school.
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment
• Uphold all school policies, child safety standards, and codes of conduct
• Participate in staff meetings, training, and school events

Requirements

• Proven experience with tutoring, teaching, or working with children in an educational setting
• Strong background in music education or performance
• Knowledge of early childhood education principles is preferred
• Excellent communication skills and patience when working with young learners
• Relevant certifications or qualifications in music education or early childhood education are desirable
• Ability to work within a structured teaching framework
• French and/or English required (bilingualism an asset)
