Description

The Senior QA Test Lead in this role will spearhead the end-to-end testing strategy for enterprise-wide HCM Modernization Program. This critical role is responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and integrity of our transition to Dayforce.

As the Senior Test Lead, you will protect the organization from payroll inaccuracies and operational disruptions by leading cross-functional teams and vendors through complex SIT, UAT, and regression cycles. You will be the final gatekeeper, providing data-driven go/no-go recommendations to ensure a seamless "Take-off" for our new HR technology suite.

Responsibilities

  • Strategy & Execution: Own the end-to-end QA strategy covering HR Core, Payroll, Recruitment, Time & Attendance, and Compensation.
  • Integration & Data Validation: Lead the testing of complex integrations and data conversions from legacy systems (e.g., JDE, Kronos) to Dayforce, ensuring 100% data reconciliation.
  • Leadership: Direct cross-functional teams, third-party vendors, and business stakeholders through defect triage and quality gate reviews.
  • Traceability: Maintain a rigorous Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM) to ensure every business requirement is validated and documented.
  • Risk Management: Proactively identify project risks, manage defect logs, and provide daily/weekly status reporting to program leadership.
  • Cutover Readiness: Conduct final assessments and post-go-live validation to ensure system stability.

Qualifications

  • 8–10 years of experience in Quality Assurance, with at least 4+ years in a Lead or Senior capacity managing large-scale ERP/HCM implementations.
  • Proven track record leading QA for major migrations (e.g., Dayforce, SuccessFactors, or Workday).
  • Deep understanding of HR modules (Payroll, Onboarding, Performance, Learning).
  • Expertise in testing complex data flows between HCM platforms and downstream financial or operational systems.
  • Proficiency in test management tools (e.g., Jira, ADO, HP ALM) and automated testing frameworks.
  • Strong ability to validate large-scale data migrations and run reconciliation reports.
  • Nice-to-Have Skills
  • Experience with JDE (JD Edwards), Kronos, or SuccessFactors.
  • Previous experience in the Aviation or Travel industry.
  • Knowledge of Canadian payroll compliance and labor regulations.
  • Education and Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Certifications (Preferred)
  • ISTQB/ASTQB Certified: Advanced Level Test Manager preferred.
  • PMP or CAPM is considered an asset.
  • Technical: Dayforce Core or Payroll certifications are a significant advantage.
