Business and Technology Insights Team Managers play a pivotal role in our business. They execute Gartner's business strategy through directing the work of a team of analysts. They build and manage a team to high quality client engagements, contribution to and shaping of must have research and broader team development. Our VP Team Managers are dedicated to the growth of our business through leading research analysts and collaboration across our partners in research, sales, and service. As a VP, Team Manager in the Tech CEO practice, you will lead a team of analysts across the globe. This team is focused on driving growth and retention of the Tech CEO clients within our High-Tech and Invest (HTI) business. You will help shape thought leading research that successfully leads our Tech CEO clients through their growth journeys. Critical to this role is the ability to understand and coach for thought leading content. The VP, Team Manager will lead and develop an assigned analyst team to deliver great advice and insight to our clients.

What you'll do:

  • Lead your team (5-10 analysts) through effective coaching / continuous performance feedback, managing performance at all levels and hiring, developing, and retaining top talent.
  • Champion content excellence for all Gartner intellectual property including research notes, interactive client resources, diagnostic tools, videos, and other forms of media to share Gartner's thought leadership with clients.
  • Drive the consultative approach through client engagements across the broader team to enable client action and impact.
  • Collaborate with sales to ensure Gartner is properly prioritizing and supporting clients' mission critical priorities.
  • Collaborate with product management to evolve the Tech CEO business at Gartner.
  • Coach your team to operate with the Gartner business model, mission critical priorities and financial goals.
  • Manage team for quality through established processes and metrics, while also driving Gartner's & the Tech CEO practice goal to continuously improve and transform and evolve its business.
  • Define and collaborate on operational strategies for resourcing key components of the advisory portfolio, building scalable models and service for future product needs.

What you'll need:

  • 15+ years of experience working in a related industry or research/advisory role
  • Experience managing, developing, and growing a high-performing team in a large enterprise organization preferred
