The Janitor will ensure that public areas are clean, properly maintained and presented. The ideal candidate for this position is friendly, detail-oriented, and able to handle the physical demands of the job with effective communication.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Performs assigned duties, such as cleaning all public areas, taking out garbage, stripping and waxing floors,

· Perform routine maintenance jobs and repairs in public areas

· Follows established occupational Health & Safety procedures and policies when completing tasks

· Ensures the security of the property, the Ambassadors, and guests when completing tasks

· Promotes teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments

· Provides exceptional customer service to guests by clearly communicating and resolving challenges to guest satisfaction

· Other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Skill Requirements:

· Previous janitorial experience is considered an asset

· Highly proficient verbal comprehension and communication skills are required,

· Demonstrates an ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking, multi-functional environment

· Required to work various shifts including evenings, weekends and statutory holidays

· Ability to work well under pressure

· Excellent time management skills

· Must be able to speak and understand English well

· Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs unassisted

· A self-starter with the ability to work independently; minimal supervision

· Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) training is considered an asset
