Overview
Autism Day Program is seeking a compassionate and dedicated ABA Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will work closely with children, and teenagers utilizing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques to support their development and improve their quality of life. This role requires a strong background in client care, special education, and experience in teaching people with special needs. As an ABA Therapist, you will play a crucial role in implementing individualized treatment plans under the supervision of a Registered Behaviour Analyst and collaborating with families to foster positive behavioral changes.
Duties
- Implement ABA therapy techniques to support children/teenagers with developmental challenges.
- Help assist with assessments and implementing personalized treatment plans based on individual needs.
- Collect and analyze data to monitor progress and adjust interventions as necessary.
- Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
- Provide training and guidance to families on behavior management strategies.
- Maintain accurate records of patient interactions, progress notes, and case management documentation.
- Stay informed about current research and best practices in the field of ABA therapy.
Requirements
- Experience working with children/Teenagers in a clinical or educational setting is essential.
- Background in teaching people with special needs is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of ABA terminology and special education practices is preferred.
- Strong skills in data collection and analysis for effective treatment evaluation.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with families and interdisciplinary teams.
- Ability to demonstrate empathy, patience, and understanding when working with children.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with industry research.
Job Type: Part-time
