The Role
The Western Canada Lottery Corporation (WCLC) is currently seeking a full-time Product Manager to join our Scratch & Win Games marketing team. Use your strategic and creative skillset to develop games that grab and hold the attention of our scratch ticket players.
WCLC has flexibility for this position to be located anywhere within the province of Alberta. The successful candidate will need to travel to our Stettler, AB office on an as-needed basis.
In joining our team as a Product Manager, you will…
- Strategically plan and execute Scratch & Win Game launches with varying play formats and themes
- Manage the development process of multiple games from ideation to printed product – including ticket artwork, play instructions, prize structures, game specifications and more
- Develop prize structures for each game that meet consumers' expectations of winnability while maintaining budgeted payout targets, appropriate order quantity and overall profitability
- Prepare business plans, forecast sales projections and evaluate sales performance throughout the ticket life cycle
- Analyze customer research and conduct regular market scans to identify portfolio opportunities; staying well informed of our current and target players, as well as new games, trends, and promotions throughout the industry
- Establish creative brief positioning and collaborate on ticket advertising support
- Effectively communicate product strategies in written documents and oral presentations
- Build solid working relationships with internal team members, suppliers and provincial partners
- Support a team atmosphere and proactively take on tasks as needed
Qualifications
- A degree or diploma in a related discipline (Business, Marketing, Communications or similar)
- Minimum 2-3 years of relevant work experience
- Superior organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask
- Strong critical thinking and resourceful, problem-solving skills
- Aptitude for numbers and an analytical approach
- An eye for design and ability to effectively communicate creative direction
- Technical proficiency and eagerness to learn
- Graphic design experience is high valued
- Knowledge of print process is an asset
