Overview
Paladin Security is seeking a dedicated
Full-Time Security Guard
to join the team at
University Health Network - West Park Healthcare
in Toronto, ON. In this essential healthcare role, you will help maintain a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. This position is ideal for security professionals who take pride in delivering exceptional service, promoting safety, and supporting hospital operations.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular patrols of hospital premises, including entrances, parking areas, patient units, and restricted zones
  • Monitor cameras, access control systems, and alarms; respond promptly to suspicious activity
  • Control access to secure hospital areas and verify authorization
  • Respond to emergencies such as medical incidents, behavioral escalations, and fire alarms
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, visitors, and hospital personnel
  • De-escalate difficult situations using approved techniques and sound judgment
  • Prepare accurate daily activity reports and detailed incident reports
  • Collaborate with hospital staff and emergency responders to maintain a safe environment
  • Enforce hospital procedures, visitor protocols, and safety policies

Requirements

  • Valid Security License for the Province of Ontario
  • Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C (from a WSIB-approved vendor)
  • COVID-19 vaccination (minimum two doses)
  • Immunization records for Mumps, Measles, Rubella, Varicella, and Two-Step TB Skin Test
  • N95 Mask Fit certification
  • English fluency (oral and written)
  • Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field preferred
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada
