Service Management Co-op

Open to students registered in a recognized co-op program only (Within the Greater Victoria area)
- Duration: Spring and Fall (May-December 2026; 8 months)
- Location: Victoria (our office is situated on the Selkirk Waterfront on the Gorge Inlet. Enjoy stunning views of downtown Victoria and the Olympic mountains and take advantage of the nearby Galloping Goose Regional Trail for walking and biking).
- Salary: $1,981.52 bi-weekly – Grid 7, Step 3 (for students working towards a diploma or bachelor's degree) or $2,267.02 bi-weekly – Grid 12, Step 3 (for students working towards a post-graduate degree).
- Grant: As part of our inVESTED scholarship program, you may be eligible for reimbursement up to a maximum of $1,000 per four-month work term to cover the cost of co-op work term tuition fees.
- Hybrid Work Model: Employees are supported to work part of their time from home and part of their time on campus to encourage flexibility, performance and connection.

- Team: The IT Service Management team is responsible for defining and maintaining processes and procedures to ensure the IT department delivers services to meet client expectations.
As a Service Management Co-op, you will join a fantastic team that has ownership of a Service Management tool used by over 600 employees. This role will introduce you to many facets of an IT department and allow you to participate in several key processes. You will have the opportunity to wear many hats, including:
- Asset Manager
- Business Systems Analyst
- Change Manager
- Service Management Tool Administrator
- IT Service Manager Developer
- Quality Assurance
- Agile Developer
Learning Outcomes
The successful candidate can expect to gain experience in the following areas:
- Analyzing and documenting requirements & workflows for ServiceNow users and groups;
- Exposure to ITIL detailed best practices for IT Service Management;
- Exposure to AGILE methodology;
- Collecting, preparing, loading, and managing software & hardware assets in ServiceNow;
- Conducting post-incident reviews;
- Configuring, customizing, and modifying ServiceNow features and core data;
- Consulting subject-matter experts for change advice;
- Coordinating teams for Change, Problem, and Incident Management;
- Documenting processes, procedures, and tasks;
- Gain experience with market-leading Service Management tools (ServiceNow and Atlassian ALM products);
- Recording and report against application & service outages; and
- Testing feature releases, bug-fixes, and document defects.
This opportunity is open to 3rd and 4th year Computer Science or Software/Computer Engineering students and graduate students in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields. Students in their 2nd year and above from other colleges in similar disciplines are also eligible.

Preference will be given to applicants who are:
- Experienced with JavaScript and HTML/CSS
- Familiar with Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
- Familiar with M365 suite (Teams, SharePoint, Copilot, PowerApps)
