Role Description
This is a full-time or part-time on-site role for a Bookkeeper at Tribune Capital in the Calgary office.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist with full-cycle accounting for all entities.
- day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including preparing journal entries, and using accounting software to track expenses and revenue.
- Responsible for sending EFTs, preparing cheques and other bank transactions.
- Prepare and issue invoices, record payments and follow up on collections.
- Monitor cash flow and perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations.
- Ensure tax installments/payments are monitored and paid.
- Coordinate with external accountants for year-end statements and filings.
- Support management with ad hoc financial analysis and process improvement.
Qualifications
- Strong bookkeeping skills, including experience managing financial statements and journal entries.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks or Sage50.
- An understanding of basic accounting principles.
- Bachelor's degree or certificate in accounting is preferred.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in all work tasks.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
